The A Family-Cary, NC Family Photographer

This past weekend, I meet with the A family for their holiday portraits.  Little Miss J has the most beautiful blue eyes I have ever seen.  Since I have one child with brown eyes and another with gray eyes, I love photographing blue eyes.  This is just a beautiful family and I had a wonderful time working with them.  I hope you enjoy their sneak peek.

Turkey Baby-Cary, NC Newborn Photographer

Meet Little Mister C.  He's a turkey baby-born on Thanksgiving.  He's such a beautiful baby boy!  But he really didn't want to have his picture taken.  But from talking with his mom, this is not the first time he did not want his picture taken.  He also refused to "smile" when they did a 3-D ultrasound.  Anyway, after lots of rocking, being fed and a car ride, he finally relaxed and fell to sleep.  There is nothing more sweet in this world than a sleeping baby.  I love this pictures and I hope you enjoy the peek.

Christmas Time and Little Miss M-Cary, NC Child Photographer

I meet with Little Miss M and her family yesterday for Christmas pictures.  We had a cold snap in NC and the temperature was in the 20s still at 9 in the morning.  Well this put a damper in the plans to go outside for pictures.  The family had the wonderful idea of heading on over to the Durham Museum of Life and Science and taking pictures in the butterfly conservatory.  It's nice and toasty and dry in there.  Wouldn't you know that Little Miss M had other plans and wanted to be outside despite the temperature.  We all trucked along behind her and faced the cold.  She had a blast walking and looking at the outdoor sites like the dinosaur exhibit and miniature sailboats.  If you have small children and live in the Raleigh area, this is one place I highly recommend doing.

I hope you enjoy the sneak peek.

Christmas Cards and Gift Certifcates-Cary, NC Photographer

As promised on Facebook, I have taken pictures of some Christmas cards (OK, mine and my mom's).  I'm absolutely thrilled by the way they turned out.  The pictures do not do them justice.  They have this beautiful, soft pearlized sheen to them.  I did flat cards instead of the traditional folded cards so that my recipients can just use the back picture after the holidays have passed.  They can frame it if they'd like.  If this is something you are interested in having done, there is still time.  Contact me as soon as possible so I have time to design the cards.

I also received my gift cards from the printers as well today.  They make excellent Christmas gifts.  Who wouldn't like the gift of pictures.  If this is something that would be perfect for a family member, contact me and I can get one to you right away.

The H Family Holiday Sneak Peek-Family Portrait Photographer Cary, NC

I met with the H family yesterday for their holiday portraits.  If you follow my blog, you might remember little Miss A.  She was one of the first newborns that I photographed.  At that time she was just 7 weeks old and now she's 4 months old.  What a precious little butterball she has become.  Mister R, mom and dad all joined her in the picture process this time.  Such a beautiful family.  I hope you enjoy their sneak peek.

W Family Holiday Portrait Sneak Peak-Cary, NC Family Photographer

I was able to sneak in two sessions today.  My first was for the W family.  We all belong to the same church and I went over to their house for a quick session before service began.  This is such a nice and caring family.  They have two really happy boys.  I hope you enjoy the sneak peek.

Christmas Card-Cary, NC Photographer

I went out this Monday and took some pictures of my mom with her grandchildren.  For the past couple of years she has told me that she wanted to do picture of her with the kids but always waited until it was too late.  Well, we all planned in advance this year.  The kids behaved as you expect photographer's children to behave-each ran in a different direction and not listening.  I did manage to get a couple of posed group shots and a few of my own children.  I might try again tomorrow to get some pictures of my two imps together.

Anyway, for those who have hired me to do family pictures, I do offer Christmas card design.  Please contact me if this is some thing that you would be interested in doing.

Thankful-Cary, NC Photographer

This year I have so much to be thankful for.  I have a wonderful husband who supports my endeavors and is a good father and provider.  I am also thankful for my two beautiful children.  They are healthy, smart and just all around good kids (despite the the little spats that they have between each other.)  I'm thankful that my mother lives close enough that if I need help, she can be there to help me.  I also have inlaws that will drop anything and come if I need them.  I am also thankful that I have some of the best friends that a girl could ever ask for-from the friends that I've know since I was 3 to the ones that live 3,000 miles away to my besties that I talk to everyday.  I'm thankful for you all.  Finally, I am thankful for all of my new clients.  Without you and your referrals, I'm not sure if I would continue with my new venture.  So to you, I say thank you.  I wish all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving.

What's a photo blog without pictures?  Here are a couple of pictures of two of the people that I am extremely thankful for:  Grace and Cooper.

Water Wheels and Family Pictures-Cary, NC Family Photographer

I met again with the M family on Sunday for their holiday portraits.  You might remember Mister S.  He was one of the first imps that I photographed when I started my business.

This is such a fun family to work with and for.  Their love for each other is very evident.  Mister S just wanted to collect and throw rocks into the water.  He really didn't want much to do with the camera.  But who could blame him.  There was so much exploring to do at this location.  We were able to get in our pictures before the rain fell so I was thrilled about that.  I hope you enjoy their sneak peek.

The M Family at Sarah P. Duke Gardens-Durham, NC Family Photographer

Let me start this post by saying that I'm not a Duke fan... but I love their garden.  The Sarah P. Duke Gardens are so lovely that it doesn't matter what time of the year that you visit you will find something that you will fall in love with.  When the M Family suggested this as the site for their holiday portrait, I was so excited.  I was a little chilly this morning but that didn't put a damper on anyone's mood.  Mister A and Miss A were absolute joys to work with.  Miss A took a little bit of coaxing to get her to smile and look at the camera but I did manage to get some shots of her doing both.  I'm not sure if she did ever see Cinderella, Jaques and Gus-Gus ever pop out my lens but she did try to see them.

I hope you enjoy the sneak peek and I wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving.

The C Family Sneak Peek-Cary, NC Family Photographer

One of the wonderful thing about living in Cary and photographing in Cary is all the wonderful town owned and maintained parks and greenways.  I met with the C Family yesterday for holiday portraits.  They wanted outdoors pictures and it was so easy to do this.  The back of their house butts up to one of the many greenways.  We started in their backyard and then moved on the the greenway for a walk.  There were so many lovely places to pose for pictures-a tunnel, bridges, piles of yellow leaves and cool painted picnic tables.  The love this family has for one another is so evident.  I think it totally shows up on film.  Little Miss B had fun collecting leaves and helping me take some pictures.  I hope you enjoy their sneak peek.

The L Family Sneak Peek-Cary, NC Family Photographer

This past Saturday, I met with a wonderful family.  They all were full of so much life.  During my session consultation, the mom assured me that her son was such a ham when the camera was out.  Well wouldn't you know it, I pull out my camera and I got serious stares and looks from him.  Mom and Dad were such troopers.  They were literally dancing behind me to get their son to giggle and laugh.  Well their antics definitely worked.  I managed to get some smiling, laughing, happy faces.  I hope you enjoy their sneak peek.
