Made quick stop at the grocery store and they had these cute sport bottles of juice. Each one had different characters on them. I got a Lightning McQueen car for Cooper and a Hello Kitty one for Grace. It was a complete impulse buy. I had no one to blame but my self. No kids were with me. But you know what, they were so excited to have these when they got up from their nap. So worth it.

This is Grace's newest thing. She will come up to me or whoever is in the area and tell them a secret. She's definitely got the whole secret thing down. She will whisper in a breathy tone with her little hand cupped around her mouth and their ear. Usually the secret makes no sense or isn't really a secret. But she thinks it's the greatest thing ever and 9 times out of ten, the secret will end in her giggling uncontrollably.
How wonderful to think some of the best things in life is whispering a nonsensical (is that even a word) is so much fun. Especially when the secret is shared with a friend.

Last week my theme was Grace and Grace type things. This week, I will be focusing on Cooper
This is my little boy Cooper Thomas. He is 22 months old. I never realized how truely different boys were than girls until I had one of each. He is completely obsessed with vehicles-planes, trains, trucks, cars, buses-you name it, he loves it. My daughter never showed any interest in cars.
He's my little impish devil. If he doesn't want to do something he smirks and will run away. He absolutely refuses to kiss me. It's become a running joke in our household. I can tell him to give anyone else a kiss, including Grace's dolls, and he will gladly do it. Ask him to kiss me, he shakes his head no while grinning. Oh, well, I know he loves me and it doesn't hurt my feelings. This is just another wonderful thing that makes him Cooper.
This was from this morning's breakfast. He requested pancakes so I made him pancakes. He was very happy to sit at the table and eat them.

Cooper absolutely adores his cars. Just a small sampling of his favorite.
A little self portrait with me and my little girl. Yes, the picture was taken at 4 o'clock and she was still in her pjs. It's cold outside and we weren't going anywhere. Why mess up another set of clothes to wash. Besides, pink flannel frog pjs are great to wear all day.
Okay, so it looks like I do have a theme this week and that seems to be my daughter. Forth day in a row Grace is the main subject of my pictures. But how could I not post this picture. This is Grace and her BFF Catherine. Seriously, they are BFFs at 4. They talk to each other on the phone all the time, are the first that either one of them asks to play with, oh, and have know each other since Catherine's birth. It doesn't hurt at all that Catherine's mommy also happens to be my BFF.
This was the runner up for today. Gotta love the retro 80s gummy bracelets.
My daughter is of the age of imagination. What a wonderful age. To her, anything can happen. Her day revolves around princesses, princes, stepmothers, and witches. Today she was pretending she was Cinderella and I was "Stepmother". Not sure if she picked this character out of thin air or the fact that we got around to organizing/cleaning out her toys? As we were cleaning out, we did find some old dress up clothes and shoes.
Well, a new year has rolled around. I have once again tried to start a photography 365 project. Basically, what it requires is you taking a picture every day of the year. There are some photographers that have themes applied to their projects such as all self portraits or of a specific object. My goal this year is just to take a picture every day-no themes, just of my life. I attempted to do this last year and made it through about 2 months and then quit. I'm hoping that with the blog, I will be more determined to (ie not loose face) to complete this project.

My husband became ill on New Year's Eve day. He needed to rest in peace and quiet which meant getting the kids out of the house. As a spur of the moment idea, I decided to take them to zoo. Sure it was a little chilly but that's why I buy them warm coats every year. And besides, a little cold air never hurt you. They had a great time. Lots of exercise was had by all (my mom tagged along with us.) This was Grace peeking around a rock.

This morning I was working at the computer editing a session. Cooper asked to color so I got the Color Wonder markers (which are a godsend) and his Cars coloring book for him. Grace soon followed behind him wanting to color in her Princess book. They were being so good and I thought this would be a good image for my 365. By the time I grabbed my camera, Cooper had been hypnotized by the oddly large brown eyes of Dora the Explorer, who was on the tv. Very typical day in my life, except for the tv. We've actually been banning all tv in our home because Grace has started to become completely possessive over it. And that's another post for another day.
This past weekend, I meet with the A family for their holiday portraits. Little Miss J has the most beautiful blue eyes I have ever seen. Since I have one child with brown eyes and another with gray eyes, I love photographing blue eyes. This is just a beautiful family and I had a wonderful time working with them. I hope you enjoy their sneak peek.
